Our institution has a long tradition of prestigious award ‘Reader of the Year’. This competition is the unique opportunity to explore the ‘reader’ among the students. This is an effort to motivate the students towards reading and inculcate reading habits amongst them
The applications are invited from the students in the month of December every year. Students are expected to submit the applications in specific format mentioning their reading interests. “Reader of the year” is selected through the interview wherein students can express freely on the books they have read and how reading has groomed them. For this a panel of members is appointed to our resourceful staff members of the college having keen interest in reading and knowledge of diversified socio-economic areas. The student who is selected as “Reader of the Year” is felicitated at the scholars’ day ceremony
